Event Partners and volunteers are the backbone of every Robotics Education & Competition Foundation (RECF) event, and the RECF is committed to providing resources to assist with event preparation. Our volunteer certification courses include interactive and engaging learning resources to ensure that you are prepared. After earning your certification, you can be confident in your ability to perform your role as an Event Partner or volunteer!

Event Partner Certification Course
Event Partners are expected to recertify every two seasons.
The Event Partner Certification Course prepares new Event Partners to host RECF Robotics Competition events. Existing Event Partners who would like a refresher or additional event planning resources for hosting events are also encouraged to complete the certification.
Head Referee Certification Courses
RECF Head Referees are expected to recertify each season.
The Head Referee certification courses are designed to teach volunteer RECF Robotics Competition referees the nuances of the game rules and how tournaments are run. Qualified and certified Head Referees help provide a consistent experience for participants within and across local, regional, national, and world championship events.
Scorekeeper Referee Training Courses
The RECF Scorekeeper Referee courses are designed to teach volunteer RECF Robotics Competition scorekeeping referees the basics of the current games and how to score matches. Trained scorekeeper referees assist certified head referees in providing a consistent experience for participants within and across local, regional, national, and world championship events.
Judge Advisor Certification Course
Judge Advisors are expected to recertify each season.
The RECF Judge Advisor certification course is designed to teach volunteer judge advisors the procedures and resources needed to judge team interviews and engineering notebooks at a competition, and to determine winners of judged awards. Judge advisors and judges help provide a consistent experience for participants within and across local, regional, national, and world championship events.
Judge Training Course
The RECF Judge training course is designed to teach volunteer Judges about the procedures and resources used to judge student interviews, assess students' engineering notebooks, and help determine winners of judged awards. Judges volunteers work with a Judge Advisor and other Judges to provide a consistent experience for participants within and across local, regional, national, and world championship events.
Coach Training Courses
The RECF Coach Academy and training courses prepare new and experienced coaches and mentors to form and guide student teams for RECF Robotics Competitions.
Drive Team Training Courses
The RECF Drive Team Training courses teach team members the nuances of the game rules and how RECF Robotics Competition tournaments are run.
