This article describes the basic procedure for making payment to the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation (RECF) via an ACH (Automated Clearing House) or a Wire Transfer payment.
ACH Payment
To make an ACH payment, you'll typically need to initiate the transfer through your bank's online or mobile banking platform or through a third-party payment service. You'll need the RECF’s bank account number and routing number, and depending on the requirements from your banking institution you may also need to provide authorization to our bank. To obtain these banking details for the RECF, please contact accounting@recf.org.
Email accounting@recf.org immediately after completing your payment. Be sure to include the amount paid, order/invoice numbers and details/remittances.
For customers outside of the United States, please contact your local office for ACH instructions from your local banking institution.
Please note that the RECF is not responsible for bank fees.
Be aware that ACH transfers typically take 1-3 business days to process. Some banks offer same-day ACH transfers for faster processing.
Wire Transfer Payment
To initiate a wire transfer, you'll need to provide the RECF’s bank information (account number, routing number, and bank name) and your own bank details, including your account information. To obtain banking details for the RECF, please contact accounting@recf.org.
You can typically initiate a wire transfer through your bank's online banking platform, mobile app, or by visiting a local branch. Some non-bank financial institutions also offer wire transfer services.
Email accounting@recf.org immediately after completing your payment. Be sure to include the amount paid, order/invoice numbers and details/remittances.
Be aware that wire transfers may involve fees charged by both the sending and receiving banks. Please note that the RECF is not responsible for bank fees.
For customers outside of the United States, please contact your local office for wire transfer instructions from your local banking institution. International wire transfers may require additional information, such as a SWIFT code, and could incur higher fees.
Wire transfers are generally faster than other electronic transfers, but can still take a business day or two to fully process.
