International Robotics Honor Society End of Year Reporting Instructions

Students with exceptional academic standing have the opportunity to apply for membership in a local chapter of the International Robotics Honor Society (IRHS) to earn accredited graduation honors for their participation in a host of high school robotics competitions. Each chapter is required to complete one or more annual service learning projects that provide unique opportunities for chapter members to assist their community while promoting STEM education and involvement.  

Reporting Requirements

In order to remain in good standing with the IRHS, each chapter is required to upload an end-of-year report that provides details on the chapter’s impact.

As outlined in Article III, Section 1 of the IRHS Constitution, the chapter advisor is responsible for uploading the end of year report to the IRHS Dashboard by the date listed on the IRHS annual timeline. 

Creating the End of Year Report

The end of year report should reflect the ethos and personality of the individual chapter. Students should take the lead on the development of this document, and then seek assistance from their coaches and mentors to create a polished and professional report. The report must be uploaded as a single PDF file that is no larger than 5GB.

Reports must contain:

  • Number of students inducted this year
  • Total number of chapter members
  • Service project summary, including measurable outcomes and community impact
  • Sustainability plan for improving the chapter’s impact in future years

Reports may contain:

  • Challenges faced within the chapter
  • Photos 
  • Student chapter member profiles
  • Coach, mentor, or advisor profiles

Uploading the End of Year Report

  • The report must be uploaded to the IRHS Dashboard by the designated chapter advisor.
  • The “End of Year Reporting” assignment in the IRHS Dashboard is only accessible to chapters who have completed the required previous assignments, and will automatically unlock during the scheduled submission timeframe. 
  • To submit the assignment:
    1. Log into the IRHS Dashboard in Moodle.
    2. Click on the “End of Year Reporting” assignment tile.
    3. Review all listed instructions.
    4. Click the provided link to upload the document.
    5. Upload a single PDF file that is no larger than 5GB.
    6. Click “Submit Assignment”.
