Creating and Uploading a Student Chapter Member Roster

Students with exceptional academic standing have the opportunity to apply for membership in a local chapter of the International Robotics Honor Society to earn accredited graduation honors for their participation in a host of high school robotics competitions.

The Chapter Advisor is required to provide the RECF with a complete roster of all student chapter members each school year. This article will guide the Chapter Advisor through the process of developing and uploading the roster to their IRHS Dashboard.

Selection of Members

Each year, each individual chapter will create an application and select a number of students to become members of their approved local chapter of the International Robotics Honor Society.

In order to apply, students must meet all eligibility criteria, as outlined in Article IV, Section 1, of the IRHS Constitution, and must:

  • Have attended the school where the chapter resides for a minimum of the equivalent of one semester, except in the case of transfers
  • Complete at least one season of an approved competitive robotics program at the secondary level before applying
  • Be current, active participants in at least one of their schools' competitive robotics programs that is recognized by the IRHS
  • Be in the final three years of high school or secondary schooling

Roster Requirements

The IRHS Constitution requires that Chapter Advisors provide some basic information about the student members of their chapter each year.

Chapter Advisors may choose to collect additional information at the local level, and the following information must be provided to the IRHS annually.

  • Student’s first and last name
  • Anticipated graduation year
  • Primary robotics program and team number
  • Additional robotics programs (if applicable) and team number

Submitting a Student Chapter Member Roster

Once the Chapter Advisor has ensured that each student meets all of the eligibility requirements, log into the IRHS Chapter Advisor Dashboard to proceed with submission.

  • Click on the “Student Chapter Member Roster” tile and read all attached instructions. 
  • Follow the link provided in the instructions to download the roster template spreadsheet.
  • Complete the roster spreadsheet, ensuring that all required fields are filled. Save the roster as a .csv file. 
  • Go back to the IRHS Chapter Advisor Dashboard, click the link to “Upload Student Chapter Member Roster,” and attach the spreadsheet.
  • Click “Submit Assignment” once completed.
