Advisory Boards play a significant role in helping the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation (RECF) fulfill our mission and vision. Each Advisory Board is a group of select members from the community that provides input and feedback to the RECF competition community. Applications are open to individuals from all geographical areas and all experience levels. The recommendations presented by the Advisory Boards will help influence strategic initiatives, policy, services, competition, and overall effectiveness of our robotics programs. Each Advisory Board has its own meeting structure, application process, and selection criteria.

RECF Student Advisory Board
Meeting Frequency: Monthly, from October to May, plus two additional 'optional' meetings during that time period
Application Period: June - August
Term of Members: Members are high school students and may serve until they graduate.
Selection Criteria: Members must be in high school and are evaluated on their responses to questions about their history in robotics programs, their desire to effect positive change, engagement within their communities, and willingness to be a representative voice for robotics students' input to the RECF.
Description of Board: The Student Advisory Board provides input to RECF STEM programs that help prepare the next generation of innovators, engineers and leaders. Members serve as liaisons between their peers in our programs and the RECF. Student and RECF staff members of the SAB serve as a focus group that shares ideas, suggestions, and concerns from a student’s perspective at the program level.
RECF College Advisory Board

Selection Criteria: Current or former college student or coach. Application includes biographical information. We also look for members that represent wide range of regions.
Description of Board: The College Advisory Board is a group of selected college students, team advisors, and other stakeholders that provides input and feedback to the RECF. Applications are open to college students, team advisors, and stakeholders from all geographical areas and all experience levels. The recommendations presented by the College Advisory Board will help influence strategic initiatives, policy, services, competition, and overall effectiveness of the college program.
