Game Description
The 2026-2027 RECF Achieve Robotics Competition game, Pinnacle, is played on a 12’x12’ square field configured as seen below. Each RECF Achieve alliance match includes two teams paired as a red alliance and two teams paired as a blue alliance. The two teams in an alliance work together to share scored points, and in an effort to outscore the other alliance. Alliance matches begin with a brief autonomous period, in which the robots react only to pre-created code, and then move into a longer driver-controlled period.
Teams also compete in solo matches, where one robot takes the field to score as many points as possible. These matches consist of solo driving matches, where student drive teams have 60 seconds to score as many points
as possible while operating their robot with a remote controller, and solo coding matches, in which the robot operates using pre-written code created by the student team members.
RECF Achieve robots are primarily created using VEX V5® electronics; Robits® by AndyMark, Pitsco Education TETRIX® MAX and/or VEX V5® structure; 3D printed components; and/or custom cut plastic parts. See the Achieve Pinnacle game manual for specifics on how to design, build, and code a robot.

and maximize their score with specific orientations of pins, cups, and rollers. Robots can push, lift,
rotate, stack, spin, or plow pins and cups, but must follow the rules of each specific match type.
