Competition Fields
Having enough competition fields at your event will ensure teams have the opportunity to complete all missions in a timely manner. Below you will find details on how many fields and game element sets needed:

Field Elements Used Each Season
The field element kit contains all of the reusable elements needed for the competition. Not every field element is used in every season or on every field.
The game rules for each season determine which elements are required for the alliance/teamwork fields and solo match fields. Some seasons may use nearly all of the elements in the kit, while other seasons may use only a portion of them.
What Is Included in the Kit?
The standard field element kit includes:
- 1 Red Arch Gate
- 1 Blue Arch Gate
- 1 Yellow Keyhole Gate
- 1 Green Keyhole Gate
- 1 Red Landing Pad
- 1 Blue Landing Pad
- 1 12" Blue Landing Cube
- 1 18" Red Landing Cube
- 3 Programming Mats
- 3 Color Mats
- 1 Tunnel
Which Elements Do I Use?
Do not set up every element in the kit automatically. Before setting up the fields, check the current season's field specifications to determine which elements are required.
This means that some elements may remain in storage during a particular season. Keep all field elements and store them carefully between seasons, even if they are not currently being used. Future games may require them again.

Game Element Kit
Each season, the Aerial Drone Competition introduces new missions and challenges for teams. The Game Element Kit contains the reusable field elements needed to set up the competition fields for that season.
Each kit is designed to provide the elements needed for one alliance/teamwork field and one solo matches field. However, not every element in the kit will necessarily be used on every field.
Setting Up
The game rules and field specifications for each season will identify which elements are used. Please see the manual at games.recf.org for details on how to build the game elements and set up the competition fields.

As an event partner, you’ll want to recognize the teams who earn awards with high-quality trophies. You may choose to create your own trophies, work with a local supplier, or ordering trophies from Drone Competition Gates.
