How to Record the Score

  • For paper scoresheets, it is critical that the correct match number and team numbers are entered on the scoresheet.
  • Digital scoresheets are pre-populated with the match and team numbers, so referees should verify that the information is correct with the team before the match starts.

Recording the Scoring Information

After the match ends and any necessary information has been communicated by the head referee, the scorekeeping referees should count and record the following information:

  1. Check off a box when the drone completes take off (see criteria in rule 3.1.2).
  2. Check off a box when the drone flies under a red or blue arch gate (see criteria in rule 3.1.3).
  3. Check off a box when the drone flies through a green or yellow keyhole gate (see criteria in rule 3.1.4).
  4. Check off a box when the drone flies through a mini keyhole gate (see criteria in rule 3.1.9).
  5. Check off a box when the drone completes a spiral bonus (see criteria in rule 4.2.2).
  6. Check off a box when the drone flies through the large cube (see criteria in rule 3.1.6).
  7. Check off a box when the drone flies through the tunnel (see criteria in rule 3.1.5).
  8. Check off a landing (see criteria in rules 3.1.12 - 3.1.15).

Verify the Counts

  • After recording the counts, show the scoresheet to all teams so they can check that each count is correct, even one missed object or action can affect a team’s ranking.
  • Teams are only verifying the individual counts, not the score. If using paper scoresheets, scorekeeper referees are not expected to calculate the match score.

How to Submit the Score

  • For paper scoresheets, submit a completed paper scoresheet by handing it to the software operator for entry into Competition Control.
  • For digital scoresheets, select the save icon to save the match.
