All Judge volunteers must sign in on the Judge Volunteer Check-In sheet, and disclose any team affiliations or potential conflicts of interest. Volunteers can Judge at an event where they have teams, but they must disclose this proactively to the Judge Advisor and provide this information on the Judge Volunteer Check-in Sheet.
Judges should remove themselves from discussions and decisions in which they may have a personal interest. The Judge Advisor will ensure that any Judge with a potential conflict does not judge any teams they should not interview, and the Judge with the conflict should refrain from any participation in deliberations of that team or teams for which they have a potential conflict. All volunteers involved in judging should take care to remove any outward appearances of conflicts of interest, including team shirts, buttons, or branded items that would appear to favor any team at the event.
