The V5RC Head Referee certification course is designed to teach volunteer VEX V5 Robotics Competition (V5RC) referees the nuances of the V5RC game rules and how V5RC tournaments are run. Qualified and certified Head Referees help provide a consistent experience for participants within and across local, regional, national, and World Championship events. 7 hours of PD credit.
V5RC Head Referees are expected to recertify each season.
The 2025-2026 V5RC Head Referee training course is available at training.recf.org. For access to courses, you'll need to create a new account in that system. Once you're successfully logged in, choose the VEX V5 program from the list on the home page, and select the VEX V5 Robotics Competition Head Referee Certification to begin.
